Vasogen Changes American Stock Exchange Symbol to ‘VSV’ Toronto, Ontario - May 28, 2002 Vasogen Inc. (TSE:VAS; AMEX:MEW) today announced that effective May 29, 2002, its trading symbol on the American Stock Exchange will change to 'VSV' from 'MEW'. Shareholders are advised to take note of this stock symbol change. Vasogen will continue to trade under the 'VAS' symbol on the Toronto Stock Exchange. Vasogen is focused on the research, development, and commercialization of immune modulation therapies for the treatment of cardiovascular and other inflammatory diseases. Vasogen's lead clinical program, now in late-stage development, is focused on the treatment of peripheral arterial disease.
